RICHARD PLOETZ, Playwright, Director, has had plays produced in New York City at the WPA Theater, Playwrights Horizons, Theater Genesis, LaMaMa ETC, Emerging Artists Theater, Theater for the New City (Deceit2013, Versailles2014, Old Flame2015) and the Kraine Theater.  In California his play Oli’s Icecream Suitwas produced at the West Coast Repertory Theatre. He studied playwriting at the Yale School of Drama and received an MFA in Fiction from Columbia.  He has published poems, short stories and children’s books. Clement Oubrerie, graphic artist, and he collaborated on NEDTOONS, a cartoon series featuring Ned, a very smart corgi. Richard teaches composition and playwriting at NYU. He is a long term instructor at Lehman College’s Adult Learning Center.  Richard is a member of Emerging Artists Theater, The Society of Children’s Book Writers & Illustrators, and The Dramatists Guild. He and his wife, Carol Dudgeon (Producer), founded their not for profit production company Nedworks, Inc. in 2015.
